There’s a little hideaway, dock, and parking lot overlooking the Rappahannock River. Located right down the street from historic downtown Fredericksburg, this is an ideal location to relax with family and friends.
The Rappahannock River runs alongside this park and is a great place to launch your kayak or stand-up paddle board for fishing, swimming, inner tubing, canoeing, or just wading in the river.
It also offers a good location for walking on the river and riding your bike. The area is a little muddy in some areas, but otherwise it’s an excellent place to enjoy the outdoors!

There is a parking lot on Sophia St, directly across from the City Dock Park and is free for the first 4 hours of parking. Then $1 per additional hour.
Another parking option is Baker Park, along Carroll Parkway and College Avenue. This is a nice place to park, but it is a five to ten minute walk to Market Street.
